This app is horrible Wanted to try out the service but the app continues to crash and even crashed my iPhone I will go find another service provider whos app is ready for prime time     App continues to crash

Ive been using Backblaze for a couple of years and its a very useful service This app on the other hand needs to be updated to work with iOS 8 As another reviewer commented every time you switch from the app to another it kicks you back to the login page Heres hoping theyre working on a replacement     Good service bad app

I did a trial of this service and this app was the deal breaker Why cant you simply view pictures files Why do they have to be downloaded first Every other backup app Ive used allows you to view thumbnails Back to slow Carbonite for me     Major flaw

I had a lot of complaints with the previous version of this app but this update fixes all of those It is now the app I hoped it would be when I first got it It has been updated for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus including landscape mode and the file browsing is much easier Swipe to go back now works and it remembers your scroll location when you go back a directory Im really pleased with this update                 Much improved

Latest update crashes all the time on iphone 4 hire a serius developer for gods sake When it opens it does b Not show Any files o a disk selection as it used to be how i suppost to browse files now     Piece of garbage

Had the same issue with crashing on start A reinstall of the app fixed this and it now runs smoothly              Reinstall to fix crash on start

As soon as I login I get a yikes 500 error not working at all Im using IOS7     Getting a 500 error

This iPhone app doesnt do Backblaze justice The app is still super slow and downloads of even a few megabytes take forever     Still a terrible app

First thing it did when I tapped on my computer name was crash I started it back up and re entered my userpass and the same thing happened again Fail     Crash

The app allows you to restore files but then doesnt let you do anything with them unless its able to open them So I can download a backedup FileMaker database but then cant email it to myself move it to Dropbox or do anything to access it or get it out of the app Starting to wish Id stuck with Crashplan        Ugh

Does nothing but display an empty black screen on my iPod Touch Thats great and all but I can get the same effect by turning off my device Hard to recommend this version     Nothingness

FWIW Im running iOS 6 on an iPhone 4S But so far the app is almost unusable        Great concept but crashes constantly

The app opens fine but the PDF I want wont download I restarted the app tried a tiny text instead The activity wheel spins and spins and spins and Very disappointing since BB has been rock solid for years and years as a backup solution Now in a pinch they let me down     Wont fetch the file

Backblaze backed up my computer fine months but neither online or with this app can you view files BEFORE you download them Very annoying Im now in search of a different online backup service that I can SEE my files online and in an app        Meh

I enter my email address and my password and the box to login is completely greyed out Theres no way to get into this app What a piece of junk     Will not accept my login

Good interface overall but the lack of thumbnails for photos makes it cumbersome to use for the common task of photo reviewsharing The max download size should be increased as well Thank you for making this              Works well needs photo thumbnails

No icon on iPad and downloading files that the Backblaze app doesnt know how to handle is useless Plus you dont find out if the app can handle it until after the download I tried to pull a couple text files and the app just threw an alert and refused to do anything except delete it           Almost adequate

I love the ability to access my backed up items via my iPhone but the app isnt really ready for the iPad There is no icon and loads in iPhone 1x2x view Looking forward to future updates              Great App wish iPad compatible

I gave the app 2 stars instead of one because it has worked in the past And because the BB service itself is great But now the app crashes on open This needs to be fixed now and go ahead and add the suggested improvements while youre at it please        Crashes on opening

Ridiculous If you use a random password for your account plus encryption how do you log in You cant Switching from 1password back to this app causes the app to go back to the main login page or crash What a joke     Terrible Cannot even log in

If you are like me and have a huge obscure random password you want to save the login in the app which you can do in settings But you may want to require a simple 46 digit password like other similar apps do when the app opens This should be an option in the app settings to prevent someone from picking up the phone and going through your stuff           Needs a screen passcode lock

Ive been a Backblaze user for years and have family friends and clients using it as well This app crashed the first 4 times I launched it It took awhile but I finally figured out why If you pull up the Control Center even if you do nothing it kicks you back to a login If you do it while the app is downloading it crashes And once you do trigger a download you cant cancel stop or pause it I also think the app syncs or downloads extremely slowly I have a client on CrashPlan and I cant help but compare their mobile app to this one Its not even close The missed an opportunity to provide a lot of functionality in a well thought out app but the missed both those by a huge margin     Missed Opportunity

First of all I love Backblazes service its awesome The app is pretty neat to but I would really appreciate the ability to send files without the need to preview them since I cant access files that iPhone does not preview like indd or ai I believe its a matter of a simple update but until now great job guys              Great but needs more functionality

iPhone 6     Crashing on launch

No iPhone 6 support Login if you use 1Password is a joke I cant log in since switching apps clears my credentials Takes FOREVER to load my backup to cherry pick files     Terrible app

The service is solid But the app only do two things navigate through backups and download files Sounds nice but the execution is poor No way to fav folders No way to preview photos No way to modify files rename delete etc        Extremely limited

The app does what its supposed to do which meets expectations The missing icon on iPad is an irritation as is the inability to filter out invisible files that have been backed up from the Mac              Functional but could use a little work

Ive been using Backblaze for my personal machines and have installed it on ALL our office machines The desktop app and service itself is pretty good Some frustrations like have to queue any files or folders you want to download from a backup This iPhone app however is WEAK You cant download any file thats over 30mb Seriously Thats a JOKE And you cant open a file youve downloaded with any other app until you preview it within Backblaze first So what happens if BB doesnt recognize the app Too bad cant do anything with the downloaded file Its useless Very frustrating experience considering the purpose of this app is to access files youve backed up on other machines        Good service Weak iPhone app

Unless you know the name of your file this app leaves you in the dark No image previews are provided not even for jpg so navigating for photos is a waste of time as you have to download an image to tell what it is And downloads are really slow A 115kb image download took so long on a 4G connection that the app logged me out Uninstalling     Unusable

I want it to show if its currently backing up a job and the total amount vs what it has already copied     Doesnt do much

Backblaze is terrific for backing up your computer in case of an emergency However although this app ostensibly permits access to the backed up files it takes a very very long time to download even a tiny 150k file to an iPhone if ever The wheel just spins           Backed Up but Slow Access

I may or may not be your typical and enduser Utilizing a PC laptop iMac desktop iPhone at any given time Im constantly either swapping files up into a cloud or deciding where each file needs to live long term With Backblaze Im so happy everything is getting backed up as it should knowing that evil is out there patiently waiting to crash my stuff The Backblaze app is fantastic I love it that I could be on the go and pull some random file down for immediate use or reference Its like having everything on your computersavailable no matter where you are That convenience alone is worth 50 a year                 Files Forms Photos Docs on the go

I really like the Backblaze service but the app is terribly limited in at least two ways that impact its usability for me 1 The app is incredibly reluctant to grab updated summary information from the Backblaze servers I have a Mac Mini with a large external drive thats still trying to finish the initial upload after a couple months Consequently while away from home on business I like to pull up the app to check my upload process not to mention occasionally retrieve files Unfortunately I find the upload total rarely updates After a week or so of refreshing the app or killing the app using the multitaskingappswitcherappkiller function then restarting the app Ill finally see a new total and itll be a couple dozen more gigabytes Clearly the uploads continue but the app just isnt gatheringreporting it well at all 2 The second is short and sweet I dont believe there should be a bandwith cap on downloadable files Is there a necessary or unavoidable technological limitation causing this If its just a proprietary business decision drop it More often than not Ive needed a file on mobile while on the road yet been unable to access it for download because its size is reportedly too large           Great service Weak App

Lets get this straight Backblaze is a backup service not a sync service This app lets you browse your backup and open specific files which is more than you really even need for a backup service Even so the app does this really well and for that it deserves 5 stars                 Basic but thats what you pay for

It should be no surprise that Backblaze a great backup service built from the ground up specifically for the Mac would deliver a firstrate iOS 7 app Forgot to save a file to your iOS device Backblazes iOS app lets you pull up a file that is saved on your Mac and backed up to Backblaze Its not the kind of app you use every day but its there when you need it                 Love Blackblaze on my Mac and now on iOS

Why     Crashes on startup

Very nice service but better iPad support would be great              universal app please
