New and Noteworthy on iTunes Audubon Butterflies is your essential guide to 653 butterflies of North America. Now you can identify every species in your backyard, parks, gardens, the woods or fields with thousands of ...
Made the mistake of logging out App will not let me log back in Tried forgot password multiple times and app says password sent but get no emails Looked in spam folder not there Cannot reregister either Would love to post my sightings but apparently i am out of luck App keeps demanding log in but then you cant        Cannot log back in
Dont buy more than one of these Audubon Apps because youll have to learn multiple interfaces Looks like they have no design standards and assigned each app to a different programmer     Sloppy interface
Excellent                 Great information
This is a top notch app that contains useful info about butterflies but its not quite like a field guide whats missing are the ranges where the butterflies are instead theres a way to report sightings as well as to see others sightings To create lists you need to create an account and if you dont you are asked each time you launch the app Ill skip creating an account Nice photos though              Great content but login is annoying
All Audubon apps encourage you to set up an account but logging in never works And dont try to reset or request your password If you do you get an email saying your password has been reset and no information as to what the newtemporary password is Just dont set up an account Otherwise the app is great for information I just save my sightings and notes to my Evernote or Facebook accounts           App is great but login never works
No matter what I try I cannot find several butterflies I have seen and cannot identify In fact the app basically tells me I dont know what I am talking about        Not worth the money
I am very happy with the recent updates I hope we can expect an iOS 7 native version soon as well              iOS 7
App crashes on login so impossible to record sightings Search for common name does nothing I searched for a butterfly that Id already found in the guide and nothing appeared No error message no found list The taxonomic list does work at least     Do not buy until bugs are fixed
Like all field guide apps its handy to have in pocket at all times Good photos and coverage Until a more regional app comes out this is the goto butterfly app for me                 Great app
Easy to navigate Great for rudimentary ids              Great starting point
New 17 is still not a field guide if you have to login to save sighting        seams ok but
This app is stupid Had it for awhile now and checked it out today and I cant get pass the sign inup screen I do not want any info sent to me it seems to me the only reason you want my email is to send me useless info AND SELL my address so I can get other junk So bye bye butterflies     Silly
Excellent app                 Butterfly
Looks like all of my sightings will be Vermont although I live in Tennessee because I have to physically move the little red dot from Vermont to Tennessee for EVERY butterfly I add to a list POS I like the numerous photographs        Like app but location feature is POS
Its time for a UI refresh Every time I open the app Im taken back to iOS 5 Please take the time to update the UI people pay a lot of money for these applications           Content is cool but UI is annoyingly old
One more comment Instead of only a LIST VIEW could we have a choice of ALBUM COVER view The browsing photos would be much larger Thanks              List view Album view
Great database When I created my account it thought my location was Vermont I found it very difficult to adjust this Every time you log a sighting this will be an issue        Great database but
Great app You always have your guide with you Thanks Audubon Really love having the app on phone cause my guide is always with me                 Audubon Butterfly Guide
I like my butterfly app for the most part I have really gotten into identifying butterflies because of it But it has my default location as Vermont Even though I allow the app access to my location and I have changed my location in the settings to NV But every time I post a sighting I have to move that annoying marker across the United States I know others who use the bird app and dont have this problem Please fix it           Good app with annoying problems that make it very hard to use
I really wish app creators would realize that Mexico is part of North America This would be so much more useful to me if Mexico were included              Mexico is part of North America
I wanted a reference app Not another social network           I need an account
I love this app The nature community actively shares beautiful sightings of wildlife and butterflies daily The photos and text on butterflies is exquisite                 Autobahn Butterflies
I like what Ive seen but I cant register or login or creat an account           Audubon butterflies
I am hopeful that this will become one if my favorite apps There is a great basis of structure and content It would be a great benefit to my 66 year old eyes if I could enlarge the photos to see detail Also I hope to see northern Mexico included since I live on the border have had a Mexican rarity in my yard              Great potential
I use the status bar for gestures Please dont hide it or at least make an option to not hide it        Please dont hide the status bar
If this app were to remove the descriptive text in the search results one may be able to view the results using the images With the text the images are too small to be useful Big and brilliant images are expected for a visual search I prefer my paper Audubon book     Not happy with this
I dont want to create an account I just want to view the data It stinks to be nagged every time especially in a paid app     A little annoying
I love this app but the last update put my location in the wrong state This is very annoying because I use this app to track my sightings Now I cant use it other than to identity butterflies No matter how many times I tried the address reverts to the wrong state Please fix Otherwise great app and very useful           Butterfly app
PLEASE fix this Auto location would be ideal Default of Vermont for every entry is a significant inconvenience     Location setting is ruining enjoyment of this app
I found the app to be a pretty good app It nice to see the use of social media between people who have common interests I have found that at least 1 butterfly is not listed in the app The gold rim North Americas only tailless swallowtail              Butterflies of North America
Login doesnt work but you need it to record a sighting        Disappointing
Very handy app to have on my phone for a quick identification of butterflies                 Great App
I just wish there were corresponding caterpillar photos for each one           Awesome
You put southeast or mid atlantic for example and it lists butterflies with totally different ranges        Search is pathetic
This app helps me know what the butterflies I see are Thanks                 Helpful
Ive only used this app to identify butterflies and moths I find it very easy to use                 Very Helpful
Plz update for iOS 7           iOS 7
Would like to have pictures of caterpillars to match with butterflies Very difficult to ID Pictures of plants that certain species prefer would help as well        Needs lots of work
Great                 Beautiful app
Probably the most annoying issue is the default location set to Vermont You cant seem to change it even your profile is correct Moving that pin all the way down the east coast for EVERY sighting is ridiculous To make matters worse you cant move the pin when your zoomed in on the map Second complaint is it doesnt remember prior useage like sorting on region Either remember it or allow default settings           Disappointment
Helps me enjoy spring butterflies              Pretty neat
I just went out on a hike and used this app It did not have some of the common local butterflies It had Common Ringlet in two families It could use an index The photos of the butterflies are mediocre It is organized strangely        Incomplete and Not UserFriendly
Wonderful app login does not work well              AB
This is a great application to have for those who follow or have a general interest in wildlife For this particular app the interest would have to be butterflies and Audubon does a good job of cataloging all the various classes and making it easy for users to read about them view them and share the information with others whether it be by sightings or emailing information The design is a bit ordinary but more importantly is easy to use allowing people of all ages to easily navigate the different sections by way of the pop up side menu With the app users can search for butterflies by way of name class or in alphabetical order Users can read a brief but detailed statement about that particular butterfly and view listed images whether by Audubon or users who have made sightings Users can easily post comments to these sightings or add some themselves Users can view sightings by people you know by name or ones you follow or ones who follow you or even by location so if a particular class has been spotted nearby you can find out about it With the nature community category all social information regarding people you follow and followers can be accessed so your favorites can be checked quickly This is a app worth having especially for users who trust and are used to the name of Audubon              Audubon Butterflies
I generally enjoy these apps though some are woefully incomplete I wish they had a means to add to the database after some specimen has been identified Makes it more interactive One thing that really irritates me is how it always puts my location in Vermont which I live nowhere near It wasnt like that when I first started using the app but an update must have botched it all up Please fix as it is a PITA to have to drag the pin to the correct location every time I post a siting           Nice database but
A great app for quick identification of most butterflies Especially useful for newcomers                 Field guide
My favorite part is that the butterfly host plant is included in the description of the butterfly My 2nd favorite part is that you may browse butterflies by their shape and color This makes it easier to narrow down the identification quickly Mobile tool that is always in my pocket The best guide is the one that you have with you                 Comprehensive butterfly identification
I really appreciate this app for sharing info and pics with my preschool class and grandkids Thank you Audubon              So beautiful
Terrible Terrible Terrible EVERY time you open the app it prompts you to join the nature share community Its EXTREMELY frustrating to go through this ever time you try to use the app I wish I had my money back Its equivalent to an advertisement on an app that I paid for Its so irritating that I dont want to use the darn thing Poor poor poor     Very annoying
I use this all the time not just to identify butterflies but for what plants to buy for my garden to attract them and the shared sightings lets me know exactly whats in my area only thing I would change is for it to tell you the timeframe when each one flys but overall would recommend to anyone interested in butterflies                 Wow useful
