Love the gapless playback and the bass boosting on my nice speakers                 best iPad music player app

Audiophiles truly this is a must app This is the first review Ive written on app because Im just not compelled to get engaged or willing to do so But with this app I just had to give some feedback This app will turn a cheap pair of mobile earbuds in to quite the decent listening experience The app truly enhanced the already great listening of my Grado 125s The meager cost will turn the iPad into a further audio gem                 Awesome

App crashes a lot and when I exit the app and then go back after a few minutes it wont play music when I press play over and over again           Fix

It does increase performance I like it              Equilazer

App shuts down when I turn off my iPad display and app does not come back automatically when turning the ipad back on those 2 alone are a deal killer It seems like you have to import songs one at a time from your iTunes library I get that youd like to sell the maxx feature but taking up 23 of the screen if im not ready to buy or try right now seems a bit too much     Not for me

This was a good idea but until the developers fix two glaring problems this app will be unusable for most iPad users When you want to add an entire playlist from iTunes music app it takes forever to load the list Then when you wake up your iPad after a period asleep and bring the program up again the playlist is gone and you have to load it AGAIN Also after a one hour process of loading a 4000 song playlist I have a 64mb iPad the program had used up a serious amount of storage space on the iPad NOT GOOD For larger capacity iPads and iPhones this is unacceptable By the way Media Mix at this point is a much better app for straight music crossfades and playing your iTunes playlists and it does NOT use extra memory to do it Plus in this app the shuffling mode does not do a very good job of shuffling I like the look of the app and the idea but the developers need to fix these glaring issues        Good Idea Poor Execution

Great app vastly improves my I Tunes collection Freezes up too often once they fix thatit gets five stars              Almost

Like the app defiantly headed in the right direction Been a user since version 10 A few ideas grooveshark import support more audio fx for advanced users Like reverb I miss having the knob act as a preamp more visualizations other than just the vu meters skins for the look of the player Overall thanks for the great app Add the first two points and youll get a 5              Good but Just a few ideas

Update they havent responded to emails either I have to lower my rating The audio is still great but the app is unpredictably unreliable It locks up when adding to the playlist It stops midtrack It randomly decides to repeat tracks endlessly It is frustrating and unusable It doesnt clear up on a delete and reinstall and recent updates have not solved the problem I loved the product and told my friends about it I hope I can enjoy this product again        Really makes digital music better

With an easier way to add playlists this would be the BOSSjust needs some more technical attention to prevent occasional crashing              Great App with limitations

Im running ios 813 on my iPad 3 This app runs flawlessly no crashes Id give it a higher rating if the price of activating the equalizer wast 1700 As it is I dont need an equalizer for my purposes           Works fine for me

I am a sound engineer with 35 years of experience This app upon first experience looks and sounds great Best sounding player I ever heard Too bad it keeps dumping the library I have taken the time to install and then I have to do it all over IF it allows Half the time it wont take the reinstall and I have to delete it and redownload it before it works again Too bad great idea     Wish it was reliable

Its A Great App Works Well And Improvement Are Great But The Control Talk For My Beats Does Not Respond Only The Volume Rocker Works But Not The Play And Pause Or Next Track Or Previous Track Other Than That Its An Awesome App              Great But

Beautiful looking app gets 1 star until it supports iTunes Match and iCloud At least give the option to connect to iCloud instead of forcing us to download all the music and fill up the iPad Seems like a huge oversight Other than this the app would be 5 stars all day     No iCloudiTunes Match support

I would have given it 5 stars before the new iOS update Now it plays one song and halfway through the second it crashes Tried uninstalling reconfiguring to no avail Emailed customer service which were belligerent and unhelpful Dont waste your time or money     Broken

Havent seen newer version or upgrade posted for some minor inconveniences truthfully havent used this app enough to see if some problems I have encountered are solvable thru trial and error method Nevertheless would like easier way to add songs then arrange by title and artist in such a way that I dont have to scroll through the entire file by dated added              Good for ipad

If you love musicif you want to hook up your ipad to your stereo systemmake this the first app you download for your ipadive tried them allthis app is the closest youll come to audiophile out therethe extra money for the extra features is highly recommendedthis will make stereo system sound awesomemusic sounds so much better with headphones or though the stereo systemwith future updates I would like to see A way you can change backgrounds of the music your playingalso it would be nice if they add a ton of customized presetsbackgroundsthis is truly a hidden gem on the App Store for music lovers                 Almost perfectly

I SEE NO CHANGES TO ANY KNOBS Would love to see a darker skin option brushed black aluminum its so bright at night Maybe some additional colors on the controls Great sound COULD be awesome looking too              Fun app

Admittedly the sound is very good but be prepared to experience some frustrating times when attempting to play an entire CD sequentially as it was recorded No response to my support email        audiophile music player

I really love this app and wanted it to be my one and only music player However when the app loses focus when I go to my desktop or open another app Maxx will stop playing about a minute later Ive tried reinstalling but nothing works Until I get this fixed Ive just thrown away almost 17 Im incredibly disapointed because this app has everything I was looking for especially being an audiophile If andor when this problem is fixed I will then give it 5 stars without hesitation I really love this app when it works I am running IOS 83 on my iPad     Stop playing when loses focus

While this app vastly improves the perceived fidelity of my music library it continues to need many improvements The GUI does not match the high quality of the sound reproduction The wooden theme is a nice touch but comes off more as a bit hokey When it comes to sound quality it noticeably improves the frequency spectrum and adds clarity and warmth to my iTunes library Loading albums and songs continues to be very buggy often crashing the app or refusing to respond to touch Again the GUI is less than intuitive With a few improvements this could easily be my favorite app                 Needs improvement

I use my iPad as a digital front end for my music library This app appeared to be just what I was looking for Nice aesthetic for resting in my dock connected to my DAC supposed high quality audio and decent EQ and customization suite with the MAXX tools I had been using Equalizer and EQu After giving this a try I cant spend the 7 on the MAXX package till they fix the bugginess of library problems You have to load small samples of your library like a single record or the app crashes Once songs are loaded they are loaded as individual files so no sorting by artist or record I have not tried loading into app through iTunes this is the workaround if you want to use FLAC but that apparently also means you have duplicates of music files or only store in this player right now I dont have confidence in this app to only store here Not sure why they cant access files off hard drive like other equalizer apps and DSP apps but I will give itunes loading a try to see how that works As of right now though Until they provide some major updates No joy        Good Sound Good Idea But Needs A LOT of Work

Sound is fine but has crashed several times Slow to add songs to the playing list Everything else is good           Works pretty well

Ive always wanted the iPad to have surround sounds stereo Finding this app has been a God sent for all things musical The 6 upgrade is worth everywhere penny as the sound quality is so clear and crisp Initially I had some installment problems but thanks to a quick and clear response from Jesse V Musicsoft Arts tech its perfect Thank you so much Jesse Get this app                 The best app I have

UPDATE two things First very good response from the apps support team or designer after I emailed vai contact us Second my issue with the player not advancing to the next song in the playlist was resolved by deleting the app from my ipad and reinstalling as was suggested by the support deskperhaps not an elegant solution but it worked I had done some significant adding and deleting of songs and albums in what I had stored on my ipad which may have caused the issue Sadly I stand by my other observations the sound quality of the app is excellent but track managment capability is too clumsy ORIGINAL REVIEW I like this app but its a pain to use and it recently stopped advancing to the next song in the playlist just keeps playing the first or selected track over and over Makes it worthless The track management is a nightmare sorry to sayyou have to add songs or albums to a playlist from tracks on yr ipad so everytime you want to listen to something you have tocreate a new playlist Good sound nightmare track management              Clumsy track management but good sound

I have 35 songs in the playlist and fell sleep listening to music Im not sure how many songs play but when I woke up 4 hours later my iPad battery was dead from a 30 charge other than that sounds awesome           Battery killer

Plays half of first song then exits Overpriced junk Will update rating if developer fixes these terrible bugs as it stands the app is unusable     Crash fest

The sound improvement is great That said the integration with iTunes playlist needs work It should just require a tap on an iTunes playlist to load the entire playlist Also there should be a simple way to randomize a playlist I recommend spending the extra money for the equalizer etc because that funding will ultimately help eliminate the apps bugginess        Needs work

This app is great for music sharing producers it amps all bad or good mixes and makes it possible to share music at a high quality without having to re route or change settings on any surround sound or PA System its quick and even fun to use and look at I give it the Nuff Said Must haveTh1ng Kh1ng Dav1d                 Great App

Really amazing but the MaxxAudio addon is an absolute must The resulting sound quality is in a word BREATHTAKING Beautiful interface design high functionality flawless functionality This was catapulted into my personal Top Five favorite apps the very first day I used it It has changed the way I think about and use my iPad mini Bravo                 Spectacular

I purchased this app and the upgrade and the sound improvement is really amazing at times Love that and worth the price That said the app itself is poorly designed It requires you to import all your songs music into the app which crashes every time I import more than 2 songs at a time When you finally do get the music imported it is all dumped into ONE playlist which can be sorted by artist and album etc However each time you want to listen to one album you have to sort the entire playlist every time as it defaults to alphabetical by song Unfortunately you cannot merely select an album and listen to it exclusively instead you sort select play and then when the album finishes whatever is in succession on the playlist continues This sounds acceptable until you try to use this daily and then realize what a gargantuan task it is to import all your music collection into this app then you are unable to play either multiple playlists or by album Because of the import issue crashes and lousy single playlist dump I cannot give it more than 3 stars and if it werent for the sound quality Id give it 1 star Maybe Im just an idiot and cant figure out how to have multiple playlists or play solo albums and if so its my bad however the thought of the massive time involved in importing my iTunes library alone has made me relegate this app to very occasional use and only when theres a really great song thats worth the trouble Hopefully new updates will address the poor integration and lack of flexibility           Great Sound thats all

I was excited when I first got this But over time its limitations and some changes the developer made have really ruined it It is unstable and crashes easily it seems to choke on random audio files or how it handles certain files The interface is awkward and unclear I purchases the Maxx upgrade and for some reason it was lost One as to restore purchases This is stupid that it happens No warning that you lost purchases either There is also a looooong delay from when you tap restore purchases on last page of crappy interface to when the log in for the Apple Store comes up Then it seems like nothing happens after that Even worse is that the Maxx purchase is device dependent I own an iPad and iPodiPhone and one has to purchase Maxx for EACH device This is ridiculous as no user would use both at the same time The app is after all named Audiophile so it is less likely a dad would load it up for a child to use But it IS likely a single user even with kids would like to access it on an iPad for use in the family room after work and via an iPhone at work or in the car But you have to shell out more money for that feature which is a given on almost all app purchases If you use headphones only there is a cheaper and better app called CanOpener I wish its developer would do more than just adjust for head phones Id buy it     Loved it but now hate it

I purchased this app and the Maxx upgrade when it was initially released I keep hoping this app will work properly I do like the sound reproduction through headphones and my home stereo system yet each upgrade has proven to be a failure I just downloaded v16 and attempted to load and entire album Audiophile began the import but not with the first track on the album rather the twelfth of fourteen tracks The app choked on that first track a four and a half minute track I gave it fifteen minutes and then simply determined the import was never going to happen I quit the app then reopened only to discover I couldnt import anything The app had frozen at least insofar as the import of tracksalbumsplaylists was concerned If you cant get music into Audiophiles playlist you have no music to play This seems to be a foundational flaw No Audiophile playlist no music to play Ridiculous wouldnt you agree I shutdown the iPad restarted and tried again with the same sequence of failed results Having now worked with every version of Audiophile none successfully I can only surmise that Audiophile is a poorly implemented app with little promise of ever functioning as advertised And The iPod version of Audiophile is even more dysfunctional My recommendation for both versions Avoid them like the plague     Import Still Remains Flawed

This is a gimmick no thought is put into giving you access to your own library of music on iCloud or how to create playlists on the device     No iTunes Match useless
