This is a great game The rules could be more detailed but other than that ok I would add the ability to move back a turn Ive hit the wrong button a lot Also it would be nice to be able to view the entire map a once and zoom in where you want              Great Wargame
Arnhem has a good feel I played the first two scenarios and they were both quick and fun The games intuitive enough that having some familiarity with hex wargames i jumped right in and played with ease fully knowing that theres more there than meets the eye It provoked me enough to start reading the rules and going deeper into all thats there Its a great little game that doesnt take long to get a handle on Definitely worth it I do wish it had tanks though              A fun little wargame
Arnhem is a good basic computer version of a traditional board wargame It includes basic logistics command and fog of war It includes a number of scenarios Its main failings are that it is still a tad rough around the edges Lack of an undo means an errant tap can ruin your whole game It does seem a bit hard to comprehend at first and the rules are slim but the author created a YouTube video that will get you going and then it is all fine from there My main objection at the moment is I think there may be a problem with artillery In the Nijmegan mission I had a series of German artillery units obliterate my airborne even in towns and while dug in Something seems off there But the authors seems to be updating things so I suspect this will get fixed if it is an issue If you like wargames this is worth the price              Solid wargame
This is a good little game I love the old school style hexes and counters look it has The map is clear and easy to see The counters are a bit smallish to read unit numbers The German AI is competent The game mechanism revolves around the issuing of a limited number of command points which is an interesting dynamic The short comings are that there is no Allies AI so in single player you must play as the allies and I think artillery is overpowered in the game Still well worth the price              Good but Limited
What a fantastic strategic war game Deep and immensely satisfying Having played Battle of the Bulge and other tactical games Id say this one is right up there My hats off to the designer of this relatively unknown gem I cant wait for the next installment                 Fantastic
The command point system doesnt work for me During a game turn I spent all 10 command points on the British division none of the US units could move due to lack of points then its the German turn Id like to see command points issued to each divisions HQ instead of a general pool        Potential for a great game but
To understand my perspective Im an old school board wargamer and was a huge fan of SPIs Arnhem folio game in the 70s If that means anything to you youll know where Im coming from Ill start with the Cons and make you wonder why Im giving it 5 stars Cons While Ive had no crashes the UI is rather awkward with you being forced to acknowledge many trivial updates in modal dialogs and yet with a single misplaced tap you can lose all of your chances to attack for a turn without chance to confirm A lot of the command and logistics info you need to survive is buried in a set of screens you cannot access during movement OR combat The help is a bit confusing and skimpy There is a steep learning curve The combat mechanics need some fine tuning and the artillery is much too powerful There also some aspects of the historical battle that the game chooses not to enforce Controls not always intuitive I also share the previious reviewers feelings about the command points in the campaign game Graphics are not very showy if you are looking for something slick you DO NOT WANT THIS GAME Pros Ive had experience with a couple hundred hex and counter wargames and most of the related ones for the iPad Although my first game did not leave me with a good impression I felt the need to try again and was glad I did Although this one has its share of warts that Im confident it will outgrow at its very core is a very elegant marriage of command and control logistics unit posture daynight and fog of war It still has some kinks but the basic lines are very strong While I think it will benefit from polishing for the modest price Ive already had about 20 hours of pretty compulsive gaming out of it So I have had my moneys worth But the reason Im giving it 5 stars is that I can see how much this core system can grow I would LOVE to see this benefit from revisions and spawn a family of related games The logistics would port well to a North Africa game But if you download this game now you should consider yourself an early adopter So in summary if you are an old school wargamer and dont mind sharing some growing pains Id download this immediately If you are an old school wargamer and dont want to be on the bleeding edge bookmark this page and come back in a few months If you want a towers defense game or slick graphics and real time action STAY AWAY                 Diamond in the Rough
