Ive been using this app since the iPad first came out The recent update moved some things around so at first I was quite perturbed and wrote a nasty review However the feature I was complaining about missing was still there it was just accesses in a different location No big deal afterall A technical support guy from Avatron actually helped me figure it out after he read my review Anyway still a very useful app for the iPad I use it pretty much everyday great app update
While not particularly easy to use this app is spectacularly useful its saved me a dozen times when I had to FTP a file to a remote server transfer something to my laptop view a PDF that iBooks couldnt handle etc Spectacularly useful but hard to use
Ive been using this app for many years now and it always does precisely what I need to to My only gripe is the lack of thumbnail preview for pictures etc Works very well indeed
This app is totally not userfriendly The help topics tab only get you more confused and frustrated that I am about to uninstall this app I couldnt figure out how to drop a Keynote file in the Public folder on my iPad to save it to my Mac Useless Dont buy it
I was trying to put in place an interim solution for file transfer Apple apps no longer move files between my Mac and devices due to the iOS 8 and Yosemite updates which I havent been able to install due to the extreme load on Apple servers Ive used the iPhone version of this app for years successfully Installed this version transferred my files successfully but they no longer open on the iPad as they did before IPad version no longer works properly

I found AS HD to work as well as the other server offerings Some of the bugs reported are IOS problems Zip compatibility is nice Yeah the UI needs a little work Not very Apple like Maybe Avatron came from the PC side And a downloadable manual would be nice I will say that Avatrons support is better than most Maybe the designers will look at a few other fancy GUI apps and apply better functionality Two ways to make money Avatron The First or the Best Good But needs better UI
This has been a great app but it will no longer allow me to delete anything I believe the update messed it up since this is a recent development Please fix it Cant edit anymore

I bought this app from what i read in a MAC mag It was suppose to help me print to my window network well nope no help in that department I guess it works as it says in transferring files but there are free apps that will handle that for me and a free program that got me printing also just did a better google search not for me
App has been crashing on login since updated iPad with iOS8 Cant open the app at all iOS8 Incompatibility with this app
Im still amazed when I see reviews of other apps spring up that have fewer and more poorly implemented features than Air Sharing I copy all of my important stuff over to it once in the AM and if Im out during the day and stuck somewhere unexpectedly I just fire it up and I have everything right there Awesome Love it Freakin Beautiful

I bought the app because I had uploaded some files to an FTP site but apparently to the wrong folder I could not move the files to the appropriate folder As a common FTP action would be nice if this were supported Wasted 9 Good interface Missing features
This app is hugely disappointing You cannot set it up to sync with dropbox or keep any Dropbox folder in sync You cannot easily download an entire Dropbox folder and it is tedious to just grab one file You can only copy files from Dropbox This is an antiquated app and pretty useless compared to other productivity apps Doesnt really work well Doesnt have proper full Dropbox sync The app also has a ton of other buggy problems Very bad Hugely Disappointing
Do you want easy drop and drag functionality Stay away from this app Unless you have hours to spend figuring it out I dont this app is a nightmare with poorly written instructions and massively overpriced for what it actually does or doesnt do Waste of money would ask for a refund if I could Do yourself a favor Just say no Terrible Overpriced Nonfunctional Junk
Since updating to IOS 80 it crashes when entering password DONT UPDATE if you need this app DONT UPDATE to IOS 8 if you need this app
Operation is less than clear but once you figure it out it does let you transfer files to and from your computer and print to a shared printer Ill be sticking with this rather than trust the cloud It does more or less what it says it does
App worked okay but after update hangs on startup Reinstalled still doesnt work As for now its waste of money I will try universal version Problematic release
Air sharing enables iOS devices especially the iPad to reach its full potential I love this app and use it all the time Best app on iOS
Been using this product thru several versions and it always improves great purchase I use a variety of Apps to make my iPad into my home desktop and this one is key I play a game with a club and a bunch of members and messaging is key The pad however is not nearly good for making alot of messages but my computer ism I can use VNC or the keyboard write the file then grab and copypaste to the game My only suggestion which Id really like to see is autoresolution detection when displaying a text file new iPad 2048 res doesnt display well on an iPad2 you need to sidescroll a bit awkwardly Otherwise works real well Works as Glue
Good app But why only show first 1MB of txt file Any chance to show more Because its very common to have a txt file such as a novel book in 23MB size Good
Does all that it claims and well What might be made clearer in its description on this site and the publishers is that theres no obvious way to transfer files to the other iPad apps so that PDFs for example can be displayed only within the Air Sharing viewer and cannot be brought over to iBook This holds also for the Mpegs you may import into the Music folder shown above only synching your computer with iTunes will get these files into the iPad music app although Air Sharing allows their play within itself On balance a very effective filesharing app with limited viewing and play features one that retains the filefolder structure of your mother ships operating system Does what it claims

This is one of the original apps to share files between cloud services and in my case an iPad Still one of the best Simple reliable kept up to date from a great company Great reliable file sharing and transfer
I used Air Sharing for a long time and was happy with it then I realized that Good Reader did everything I used Air Sharing for and more and did it better There are better options out there
I wanted an app that would quickly and simply let me take documents from my desktop computer and move it to my iPad to show people in a more portable format This app definitely does the trick Use the shared folder The others are password protected and require more detailed setup Works
Originally loved this app but ever since the last release links and bookmarks have been failing in about half my PDFs GoToPage will not allow me to fill in a page number in about the same ratio Customer service said were working on it yet no releases in almost a year Recommend looking elsewhere No updates or fixes

The biggest issue I have is that I cannot connect to my Macbook at home as the developer claims because I do not have a static IP address I called my ISP for help and as of now no luck I followed the instructions on the app but customer service told me it wont work without the static IP I guess they should make that clearer before they take your money Wish I knew some things

Yipesthe new upgrade to 32 removes the ability to scroll vertically That means that you can to really use it for reading music The old versions allowed you to see the bottom of one page and the top of the next page at the same time Essential for reading music It worked great No more Beware that It is no better for music now that any of the other readers out there It used to be the best one They say they are working on it but have no timetable Beware Air sharing 32 a real down grade

This has been my go to file system in iOS I connect via wifi and use a file sync app on my Mac to sync files from Mac to iPad so I have the latest versions of files with me even when I cant get online to Dropbox or One Drive But I cant get at any of them after updating to iOS 8 AirSharing crashes as soon as I click on it Sad it doesnt work in iOS 8
I use this app to remotely access a secure Webdav server I have my work with me wherever I go This app is great Used every day
This app used to have a great PDF viewer which allowed continuous scrolling but since theyve now removed that feature this app isnt any better than any of the alternatives Nothing left to set this apart from cheaper alternatives

I feel like a right idiot for assuming I would be able to open and edit the documents I could read form my computer ReaddleDocs allows me to actually edit the documents I read from my computer Honestly What is the point of being able to read a document and not edit This is the last App I am buying without thorough homework Shame on me Let the buyer beware
After connecting to a computer via Bonjour and logging in there isnt an easy way to log out or disconnect So if I want to access a different account on the server it seems the only methods are Turn off Sharing under Settings and click on a server This crashes the App After launching again sharing will be back on and you will be disconnected from all servers Reboot the iPad Delete Air Sharing and reinstall it This loses all files previously copied to the iPad How hard would it be to add a simple log out feature in the Servers list Also browsers do not seem to support Open In so Air Sharings printing feature does not help there No easy method to log off from a Server printing meh
I purchased this app as a client for my FTPS server Having issues connecting I contacted their support and they confirmed that there was a bug in the FTPS connection and that it did not work The FTPS support claim in this apps description is completely false FTPS DOES NOT WORK
This app is useful for transferring files from a computer server or dropbox onto an iPad and it often works A few problems have plagued this potentially great app One the app crashes periodically Two the user interface is not intuitive At times its not clear how to download items or navigate but with a little headbanging youll eventually find all the options Third I really wanted this app to download video files from dropbox and send them to VLC or Azul Media Player but the app cant do it at least for the movie files Ive tried It never completes the transfer Potentially a great app but has problems
