I was originally put off buying this ap because of another review that said it featured ads but I was so desperate for a good news source like AFP that I went ahead anyway So far so good The UI is pretty cool and I havent seen any ads in the articles But yes it does not include French language support Seems like Arabic is included in this version                 Excellent ap

Earlier version of this app was great really straightforward easy to navigate New one is clunky slow to load displays fewer news stories at a time hard to browse Just kind of a terrible update     This version is terrible

AFP has been a great source for International News in the past I cant pinpoint the day but something is terribly broken with the current version It doesnt load the content before timing out Regardless of connection how frustrating Fix this App Otherwise it is useless     What happened

The design is ugly the font for article text is difficult to read the interface is slow and buggy and there are spelling errors AFP could really use to spend a little time and money improving this service By comparison Reuters and the AP each have beautiful applications that are a pleasure to use     Poor quality

I paid for this app specifically to share stories on Facebook and Twitter It doesnt support either You can only share via email     Disappointed

AFP files great quality reports daily however this app is an abomination Earlier version was a simple consistent app yet this version is rife with glitches After a while I have to delete the app and reload it to my phone in order for it work and still it only hobbles along until its completely unworkable again     Stellar Content Abominable App

I loved the old apphate this one The user interface is awkward slow and never fully loads Why sort articles by date when no articles load to sort My iOS is up to dateso it must be your lame app Why wont you fix it     This app is useless

Love AFP content but the app wont load stories in most of the categories When I click on one the sections it says 0 of 0 stories     Wont load stories

AFP Agence FrancePresse has some of the best reporters around the world reporting in English not just French This app like many news apps has sections for world news sports etc This includes separate sections for news from 4 major world regions North America Middle East Africa and Asia but not Europe European stories only run if theyre big enough globally to make it into the world news section or the sports business etc sections You can choose from one of several languages including English but not French This app is also very buggy and sometimes seems to hang when opening Try deleting and reinstalling when this happens This makes sense since the last update v 13 was over 16 months ago before iOS 7 and even iOS 61 AFP should just clone the BBC app its got the best layout of any news app Ive used Im giving this app 2 stars not 1 only because of the great content that is available when the app works AFP has some of the best reporters and editors in the world the iOS app developers have really let them down French engineers design Airbus planes and some of the most advanced nuclear reactors and high speed trains in the world This app however feels more like those awful French cars from the early 1980s        Disappointment no French or European news

The latest version released in Sept 2014 requires both fast and slow presses The user experience can be frustrating until you experiment This version suffers from bad programming but the content is great     Bad programming

What was 5 stars would have been 2 had I not tested a theory For anyone experiencing crashes on section change after installing this latest update try completely uninstalling then reinstalling the app I have seen this happen before in other app releases Sometimes the developer knows and sometimes not In any case after this my app seems completely stable Afp loses one star for being troublesome Ill give it back on next update if it is smooth I concur with the other reviewers on the question of how afp can produce an app with several language options EXLUDING French This is ridiculous              Newest update is crash prone but total reinstall fixes it
