Ive used this dictionary for the past 2 years but I uninstalled it after the last update As a matter of principle when Developers deceive users in updates by not disclosing the addition of AdvertisingiAds in the Changelog I uninstall the app When Developers are up front and put this in the Changelog I KEEP the app           5 Star App 1 Star Devs

Ads do ruin the app Also the new owners dont seem to maintain it theyre just milking it for ad dollars I would pay money for an improved version without the ads     Used to be better

As another reviewer points out when the changes include pushing nuisance ads on the screen there is a chilling effect on the user I am still on the older version I love the simplicity of this app And no thank you I wont be upgrading it I would have given 5 stars if it wasnt for the ads Otherwise this is an immensely useful app              Big fan but

By now I own about 20 Electronic dictionaries including the OED and MerriamWebster Third Intl this one is most decidedly in the bottom of the heap It offers nothing useful and most of the links and synonyms etc are truly from the left field There are good dictionarythesaurus combinations such as MW Oxford American Dıctıonary and they are better than adequate for college work     Totally Useless App

I am giving this 5 because it is what it says I like it To help compensate for the low rating for the idiot who says it doesnt work Check your memory if you are even close to being full ie even 1 Gb left many apps wont work properly even things like radio stations To help compensate for the low rating from someone who thinks there should only be one word net there is more than one dictionary they all offer slightly different implementations To help compensate for the ridiculous statement about Islam definitions There are over 25 islam based words groups or related organizations They are reflected accurately The definition for the singular word Islam does NOT have anything bad written about it                 Is what it says

This dictionary is just as easy to use as the more popular dictionary and thesaurus apps has an equivalent amount of information and perhaps most importantly is completely unobtrusive It does not have annoying popups constantly asking you to rate it pestering you about upgrades to adfree mode and reminding you about the word of the day or other annoying superfluous activities It just silently does its job it certainly deserves good reviews                 Best Dictionary in the App Store

If you want more than three or four synonyms for a word this is not the app for you Yes its a dictionary but the app is also advertised as a thesaurus It is to that functionality my comment is directed        Doesnt have many synonyms

Bought this app some time back With the new version developer put ads and is requiring users to pay AGAIN to remove ad Poor move     Ads

After paying full price some time ago like the other reviewer I was aghast to find that the new version takes over your device with a full screen ad each time you search unless you make the in app purchase If you paid for the app earlier DO NOT UPGRADE Very poor move indeed     Ad Extortion

Latest update is horrible When you search a word you get advertisement on whole screen for 5 to 10 seconds Why would I need to see the ad before getting meaning of the word I entered It was not like this before Take it to the last version and remove advertisement     Really bad
