This is the only DLNA video playing app that I know of that lets me lock video playback into landscape mode The app is also very stable not glitchy which speaks a lot these days It also works well with the DLNA devices software on my network and has a pleasing UX Love it                     Definitely worth the money zumo21

It s awesome but I need to play the files that are in my phone that I put under TV with iTunes how can I do that that s so important no sense in downloading files twice to make it work with your app other than that I give this app for stars                 A great app but iTrippedStudio

I have been using this app for couple of months It was very good and useful until it needed to connect to remote DLNA server over IP6 This app on my iPhone will not connect to server My DLNA servers are working fine If my phone is connected to internet through Wifi app can connect to DLNA server I have contacted developer however they didn t couldn t resolve this issue So app is just sitting here useless     Does not work with IP6 Satya Ks

Works great as UPNP player Big request is that the folder icons should be represented by the album cover artwork once you are at artist level or album level Right now the album artwork only displays when you drill down to the track level of a folder It would really improve the browsing experience if at artist level it could be the artwork of the first album it finds or a composite quad image of 2 or more album covers At the album level displaying the album artwork would be ideal as opposed to the folder icon currently displayed People connect to the artwork not folder icons Thanks                     Album Artwork Request Fetchmeone

This controller enables DNLA playback from virtually any source all sources that I tried on any renderer on your network In other words it does what a controller is supposed to do and it s fast and it doesn t crash This basic functionality is surprisingly hard to find for iOS Furthermore I had no trouble making playlists To get a 5th star I d want to see two additional features that are missing 1 display the format and nitrate of the track currently being played 2 the ability to order tracks residing on a DNLA server by track number instead of alphabetically this feature appears to be present in settings but I haven t successfully gotten it to work                 DNLA controller does the job missing some features D114

This works great with my home network and streaming all my media vi PS3 Media Server However I deduct 1 star because every now and then it hangs when switching tracks It seems to be related to wireless I run the program on my phone ipad using a wireless network and then connect to my cordless headphones via blue tooth When this issue is resolved I will return the last star                 Just what I was looking for almost KRC_ARK

This app is unmanageable It stops hangs crashed on its own The features appear to be good but most of them are unstable Unless the developer fixes the bugs it s a loss and a waste of money and should be reported to google and iTunes     Very Unstable and full of bugs joec1237

This app doesn t work with a NAS It would not self discover my Synology NAS so I had to enter the url Once I entered the url every time I click on servers to connect to the NAS the app crashes I then bought FileBrowser which is awesome it self discovers and works perfectly for using any type of file movies docs songs pics etc stored on my NAS and is really easy convenient and fast I deleted this absolutely useless 8player app from my device and I am going to demand a refund not sure how to do this on iOS app store but I will find out     NAS Crash City Nushagak

I ve been a long time user and reluctant fan of this app for several years now I ll concede that I ve strayed over that time but I keep coming back Hoping I have a very large music collection 5k LPs 20k CDs around 14TBs of digitized music total First I do appreciate the DLNA improvements and other similar enhancements unfortunately those are not what s front and center for users I ll just say it the new interface is atrocious icons are way too large at least for my tastes Perhaps provide an option for S M L navigating MediaMonkey directories is painful almost literally You select server then MediaMonkey or other DLNA then artist or location or album etc then you go in again from there and so on Now the journey there is not bad at all but getting back Warm up your wrist and fingers You have to swipe back once for each layer deep you went in Cumbersome to say the least album track selection interface suffers dramatically in that you are only presented with the cover art and title Where s the artist Album name Option for detail view vs cover art Why not provide options for displaying or hiding tagged metadata This isn t as big of an issue when finding a song on an album but from a playlist it s a complete nightmare These are but a few of the frustrations with the interface There are soooooo many new features that I ve been hoping to see for years but instead you decide to focus on an interface update I don t get it unless the new interface is required for these elusive items on said wish list perhaps One can hope I really do like this app and I love it s potential Here s to hoping we live to see it one day         Yeah it looks prettier but LowPop

This is a full featured easy to use media player It works great with any DLNA or UPNP devices on your network It s easy to set up and use One feature this player has that no others have is the ability to sort songs by the track number in the ID3 tag in folder view Most players just sort them alphabetically My only complaint with this app is that it is buggy when running in the background About a third of the time tracks don t advance when the app is running in the background Even when bringing it to the foreground the music won t play unless you kill the app and restart                 Overall a great player A little buggy playing music in the background BobG813
