After using at least 10 other name apps and searching far and wide for an easy to use name app with a decent size name database we discovered BabyNames and the rest is history After months of research we finally decided on a name for our daughter solely based on the descriptions and encyclopedia of names from BabyNames                     Helped name my daughter Int. I downloaded this app when I got married 5 years ago I had spent so much time saving unique or diligently searched family names and the app lost them all When I reached out to the team they said nothing could be done Hopefully they ve made changes but I now screen shot my names because I can t really trust the app Be aware     Lost years of stored names brenncc

This app literally never suggests names that anyone would name their child While this is obviously personal preference it really hinders my usage of the app I wish there was something built in where it complied the names that you like and rate and then the app suggested future names based on that It would really improve my view of the app I also find it challenging that most of the names on the app are names that are not common or easily understood by an English speaking person in the US A nice combat to this is that you can personalize your search results with each search and with the goal that it will hopefully give you names that you would consider I do like that the database gives you such a wide variety of names however Even if I would never personally use them But again it aggravates me to no end that the app doesn t suggest names that fit my preference In addition I wish you could set the app to send you name suggestions more frequently throughout the day maybe that would also increase the chance of getting names that everyone would appreciate UPDATE 6 25 17 I m a writer so I ve had this app for awhile and frequently use it to pull character names from I ve worked for quite awhile to build my baby name list and somehow all of the names I ve rated and wanted to keep have vanished RIDICULOUS         Most liked Baby Name app but bloodrose279

No matter what I click on it redirects non stop to other apps that it s advertising for I think it s a bug but it makes it utterly unusable and feels really spammy Please fix it Seriously I even went to try to purchase the pro version thinking it would stop the redirects but as I tried to enter my password to purchase it I got redirected to some car app         Was useful now unusable due to constant redirects to other apps rkoren
