I used to own a HP 12c but found this app and passed the physical calculator to a friend This app does the job for me perfectly and is easier to carry and use I didn t have to learn anything new and the muscle memory continues to work This app is an essential app for me                     Great emulation of the 12c Bunzip

Update Sept 2017 It looks like the developer finally updated his apps even rebuilding in 64 bit Swift I haven t fully tested all functions but I think an upward revision of my review from nearly seven years ago below is appropriate Four stars Old review DO NOT BUY THIS APP This calculator used to be decent a few bugs but decent nonetheless before the version posted on Dec 21 2010 As numerous reviewers have already noted the update basically broke the app for everyone The developer has been notified multiple times by multiple parties including me with no response whatsoever DO NOT SUPPORT DEVELOPERS THAT IGNORE THEIR CUSTOMERS R L M you should be ashamed of yourself You are basically cheating your customers Apple you should remove deadbeat developers like this and ban their apps from the App Store forever It reflects poorly on the user experience To sum it up This app and its developer are a great big FAIL UPDATE 2011 03 16 App updated as of Mar 14 and it s still broken Either this developer doesn t read his reviews or he s a complete idiot DO NOT BUY THIS APP                 Thanks for the update Everyone Sacritic

I love this calculator After years of RPN use I can t use a regular calculator I was worried because iphone kept giving me messages that this app needed to be updated or wouldn t work in ios 11 later this year I assume this update will carry the torch to ios 11 and beyond Well done                     Super psyched this app wasn t abandoned saunderscc

I am a big fan of the classic HP 12C this app is great I enjoy the approach of giving the standard functionality of the calculator in Lite version but also providing advanced functionality in the Pro version Regarding processing speed as I can see running programs it is a bit faster than the original HP 12C but in that order of magnitude It would be great to have a setting that allows you to change the processing speed from the original speed to a much faster processing speed at least should be supported the speed of the new HP 12C with ARM processor that it is around 160 times faster                     Great version of classic HP 12C with great added functionality Cssv68

I d give this 5 stars if it weren t for what appears to be a bug in the iPad version I typically use in landscape mode with the home button on the right for easy app switching When I launch the app it automatically rotates to display in landscape mode for viewing only with the home key on the left side Any attempts to rotate the screen fail to work Screen rotation does work fine on my iPhone 5s My iPad is V3 in case that assists with debugging                 iPad version does not rotate wulfeman

I found the place in general settings that enables rotation I haven t used this calculator but it is right side up so I am changing my review                     Looks good Jolynnie

REVISED REVIEW finally figured out how to return to RPN with Classic 12C go to Options switch Platinum to ON Press f then RPN switch back to Classic by turning Platinum off The calculator will stay in RPN mode Needless hassle but now the app is much better especially on an iPad                     SEE FIX FOR RPN bluedogguitar

Just discovered rotation option on this app so restored to 5 star Setting was already set to Rotation On but needed to be re set to work properly This is correction of note posted below Should be 5 stars for this outstanding app but the fact that landscape orientation only works with home button on the left makes it harder to use with many iPad cases Not really a major issue with iPhones but still seems odd Also it appears that the app no longer works in portrait orientation                     Great App Whoops PBBHome

I have a number of the physical HP 12c calculators that I ve collected over the years I use those while at home because I don t want to lose any of them but when away from home I use this app for all of my financial calculations This alphas never missed a beat and although I m no expert as to its absolute accuracy compared with the physical HP 12c it has performed flawlessly Moreover I have had this app installed on the iPhone 4 iPhone 4s and now on the iPhone 5 It s worked great on all iPhone versions My many thanks to the developer for this product                     Outstanding indistinguishable from the real thing ALB-Seattle

Having become accustom to my trusty 12C I think this is a wonderful implementation of a calculator I just wish that there was a iPad version that I don t have to use a zoomed in version of the iPhone app by pressing the 2x button when running it on my iPad But with that minor caveat I really like this app                 Good RPN Calculator wish there was a iPad version Robert Ryan

1 The keyboard responds erratically to my attempts to put in data sometimes it takes the datum sometimes it just sits there Sometimes a soft touch seems to do it sometimes it holds out for strong pressure sometimes strong pressure is rejected The decimal point seems particularly erratic That is the case even for those options that have generally worked I do not have problems with my keyboard for other apps 2 OPT DATES does not work for me I tried the exact example in the Quick Help and I got 120 I am not sure where I was supposed to be starting from in the example or whether it matters The method of inputting described I find to be very unintuitive That combined with the erratic keyboard makes this option particularly frustrating 3 OPT Amortization Table takes me to a table of all zeros except Grouping Periods which is 12 Grouping periods responds erratically to my attempt to change it 4 On this calculator 2 plus 3 6 5 The developer s promised support complete answers in less than 48 hours has turned into 27 days and counting     A loser Wil3744
